A Review of Reverse Genie
Pros:
Reverse Genie is unique in that it uses a point system. Each type you run a report on a phone number, it deducts from your point total. If you end up using all your points and need more, you simply purchase more, but at a lower price.
The information that I got from the Reverse Genie search included much of the same information that you would get from other reverse search services. They gave me the standard name, address, and carrier which is all you basically need if you wanted to identify the person responsible for a phone call. If you want to take it a step further, the service also lets you pull up information like their email address and IP address. You can also run a background check on the person which can pull up info like criminal history and bankruptcy reports.
Cons:
I felt that their points system could be further improved. To prevent wrongful deduction errors, double check that all the details that you input are correct before confirm the search. Also, I did have some problems finding numbers. I think they have a smaller database than some of the other programs. I was able to look up some numbers on other services that I couldn’t on Reverse Genie.
Conclusions:
Overall, I would recommend the Reverse Genie service. It’s relatively inexpensive and reliable, but if you have a problem finding a number on this service like many people do, I’d recommend Reverse Phone Detective. It’s got a more extensive database and it’s updated more often.
